Tuxford, in respect to a Raven Pilot, you are wrong about it being a "little bit" of a nerf. Your Blog gives short shrift to the Raven and it is obvious that your looking at the effect it will have on that ship in a vacuum. Here is why:
1. Missle nerf -- forced us to rely on drones and SB's. As you should know a good number of NPC frigs orbit outside of the effective range of the SB's, Cruise missles (w/ skills trained to four across the board) hit for 20 points damage. A frig can tank us.
2. NPC changes -- The aggro rules have been changed and drones are targeted more often by NPC's. NPC's will even change from aggro on the Raven and target the drones at times. NPC's are getting a boost and they will be tougher in the future.
3. Raven invariably has a shield tank. Helloooo? Anyone at home here? This means that it has the little tank that can't in the best of situations. It simply can not give you the time to handle these situations like an armor tank can. I really doubt you guys are going to be changing any of that with your modifications promised to tanks, but if you do, I am certain that the Shield tank will still be the red headed stepchild of eve.
So, even with drone interfacing level five, even w/ them being a whole fifty percent tougher (read it will take six hits before they pop instead of the three it takes now), Raven pilots, moreso than others i'll warrant, are going to get the short end of the stick here. I mean, you are saying to us "I'm sorry" we reduced your ability to handle frigs w/ the missle nerf and now we are going to leave you and your little shield tank w/ 20% less of an ability to deal w/ frigs. And that is the kind of reduction in ability your handing out to us, albeit it pains your heart Tux, and it looks like your going to make us like it . . .
